How do I apply for Premier Verification to perform our rating?

The step-to-step guide below gives a basic outline on how to obtain an Premier Verification Rating. For more information on the process or for a ratings pack please send an email to info@premierbee.co.za.

The Rating Process in Detail

Step 1 - Planning and Preparation

If you wish to engage us please fax the following documentation:-
  • Rating Enquiry Form or submit your details via our website
  • Company ownership organogram (if you have one)
  • Company profile
  • Premier Verification's signed Standard Terms & Conditions agreement, this will be provided to you upon receipt of your enquiry.
On receipt of the above you will be contacted to set up a pre-site visit date. At this visit the analyst will go through the requirements for the rating. The analyst will explain the rating process and the documentation required, as well as confirm the verification site visit date. BEE verification is an interactive process that calls for client preparation ahead of the audit.

Step 2 - Analysis

Send the rating pack with the information as discussed with the analyst within a week of the pre-site visit. This information will be analysed prior to the verification since no new information can be accepted after the verification site visit. Should the analyst require additional information, all requested documentation should be sent through prior to the verification site visit or can be handed to the analyst on the day of the verification.

A verification site visit date will initially be set for three (3) weeks after the initial visit and you will be asked to confirm this at the initial visit. These times frames may vary depending on the requirements of our clients.

Step 3 - Verification

Premier Verification will perform a verification of the information presented, as well as any risk areas identified during analysis of the underlying information through the use of rating procedures, including the validation of supporting documentation, interviews with company representatives, employees, suppliers and/or customers during site visits.

On completion of the analysis, Premier Verification will:
  • Hold a Preliminary Meeting after the verification to communicate the preliminary score and any problems experienced during verification.
  • The analyst will go back to the office, where the file will be reviewed and the final report and certificate will be issued.
  • The client has an opportunity to appeal against the score received, and has three days in which to lodge an appeal against the final report issued. For more information on the appeal process please consult the company's appeals policy and procedure or ask the client services department to explain the process to you.

Step 4 - Rating Outcome

Once you have gone through the rating process, you will be awarded a rating report with a rating certificate. The overall rating score is equivalent to a rating status,i.e. BBB, which in turn is equivalent to a level contribution status, as per the guidelines in the Codes of Good Practice.
